The right way to enjoy Qixingtan, discovered after coming here three times
💦Previously, when I visited Qixingtan, I was always attracted by the round pebbles under my feet and the blue sea in front of me, not noticing the magnificent Central Mountain Range in the distance, connecting with the vast Pacific Ocean. The encounter between the mountains and the sea forms a breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
If you arrive at Qixingtan before dawn, you'll also have the chance to witness the slow rising of the sun from the sea level, gradually illuminating the water and the distant mountains, painting them with a charming golden hue 🧡. Qixingtan at this moment is a sight like never before, with the scenery dramatically different than usual, as if you're immersed in a golden dreamland.
This is undoubtedly the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen. Even after leaving Taiwan for two months, I, who has a poor memory, can still vividly recall this scene, which shows how unique and stunning Qixingtan's sunrise is. If you're coming to Taiwan for a vacation, you must not miss this! Don't laze around in bed in the morning, or you'll definitely regret it!
🧡 Apart from enjoying the beautiful landscape where the mountains and the sea meet, there's another must-do activity at Qixingtan — stacking rocks. It is said that stacking rocks and making a wish can bring good luck. The higher the stack and more resistant to the wind it is, the more likely your wish is to come true. It's also fun to collect rocks with patterns like those in the last picture and arrange them to form words.
If you want to enjoy the stunning view of Qixingtan's crescent-moon-shaped bay and the Pacific Ocean from a high vantage point, I recommend going to the nearby "48 highlands." It offers a 180-degree unobstructed view! How spectacular!
✨ I also highly recommend riding bikes to Qixingtan. On the way, you will face the sea breeze and appreciate the seascape while exploring Qixingtan at a leisurely pace. The feeling is extraordinarily pleasant, and it only takes about 30 minutes to reach Qixingtan from Hualien City.
⚠️ Gentle reminder!
Please do not ride beach buggies on Qixingtan. Doing so will damage the pebbles on the beach. These stones took a long time and a difficult journey to reach here from the mountains. Therefore, please preserve the ecology while visiting and avoid taking any stones home.
